Description

Edit: Thought it was about time for a redraw/redesign :>
Switched her minor power to hovering, now it should be easier for her to interact with other land dwelling oooians

Early application for :iconadventures-of-ooo:

Villain name: Morca
Age and DOB: 19, September 6.
Villain Gender: Sits-to-pee

Motive: Morca grew up curious about the world above water and wants to explore it, but she believes the best way to go about doing so is to flood the land and all its inhabitants till the surface is covered in water.

Personality/Behaviours: Morca is laid back and generally friendly unless A. She's Hungry, or B. something has annoyed or angered her, which unfortunately happens to be most of the time. She tends to become even more violent and snippy when irritable, resulting in the destruction of many furnishings and a lack of close friends. When not on a murderous rampage, Morca can appreciate a good adventure, preferring to explore new areas when looking for food or even simply to pass the time rather than return to any one spot.
Morca is very blunt when talking about her own opinions and often insults others without taking notice. Of course, Morca also jumps at the chance to insult someone intentionally, so no sympathy for her there. Despite her short-spoken nature, Morca is fond of wordplay. A favorite activity of hers is to twist the words of heroes to upset them, and Morca will even spare her victims if they know a good pun or two, granted they have time to speak. She is also extremely impatient and would rather take risky courses of action than spend time waiting for the opportune moment.
Though not the type to open up and share her feelings, Morca has some serious issues to deal with. No matter how hard she tries to live in the moment, as soon as the current distraction subsides, her mind drifts back to her past. She tends to dwell on all the bad choices she’s made and to make attempts at rationalizing her actions to make herself feel better. Though it seems easier to just quit being evil and join the good guys, Morca prefers to paint herself and her evil companions as “the misunderstood ones” and blame all her problems on heroes and well-intentioned citizens. Morca is painfully aware of her immorality, but makes no move towards change.

Hometown and History: Morca is originally from the Deep Blue, an ungoverned "anything goes" wasteland for outcasts, the homeless, those who simply cannot live in a civilized environment, and their families. As a child growing up in the Deep Blue, Morca did not face any restraints, moral or legal, and was free to live as she pleased. She lived with her mom in a humble and nondescript cove, the entrance to their quarters hidden behind seaweed and other marine life to protect against unwanted intruders.
Morca learned everything she knows about hunting from her mother, and they lived together happily without interruption until the father came calling. Morca was 17 when her father returned and brought with him his love of travel. The mom wanted to join the dad’s travels and the pair bid their daughter goodbye when she refused to join them. On occasion, Morca still receives cheesy and/or morbid postcards from her parents but has yet to see them since.
Two years later, Morca had made a few fish friends but grew tired of living in such a chaotic and unpredictable realm, seeking a calmer way of life. She and her friends set about a journey to find another home, and in their quest they crossed a barren seascape. Faced with starvation, Morca chose to eat her fish friends rather than risk her own life; a choice not uncommon in the Big Blue, but also one that would haunt Morca for years to come. Bitter upon reaching the coast of Ooo, Morca settled in a sunken ship and proceeded to terrorize the beachgoers, dragging them out to sea and forcing their friends into a situation similar to hers, having them chose between themselves or their friends. Morca attained a morbid satisfaction from the whole process. However, Morca is no longer content to sit by and play children’s pranks; she now aspires to carry out her dream of traveling the surface world.

Homebase/ Home: A sunken passenger ship on the coast of Ooo. A rusted nameplate on the side of the hull reads SS Naviano. The outside of the ship appears rotten and ancient, but the inside has been somewhat up-kept due to Morca's persistence and vague sense of decency. Her bedroom was once the captain's quarters, built atop the deck. A hole has been punched through the floor in a corner, leading to the mess hall where Morca stores and eats her food. All the doors have been meticulously removed, leaving the door frames intact, so Morca can swim through them with ease as she travels about the ship. There are various other rooms throughout the ship which Morca has left to stand the passage of time, though sometimes she mulls over passengers' belongings in previously untouched rooms when listless or bored. Light creeps in through cracks in the woodwork on the walls and ceilings, replaced at nighttime by a few strategically placed large jars of glowing fish, caught during explorations to the darkest depths of the ocean's floor. Even in Morca's usual rooms, some of the ship's original inventory remains; thin and tattered drapes float by the windows, crooked and broken light fixtures hang on the walls, and the old furniture scattered throughout the ship which is beginning to grow barnacles and a coat algae. Decorated with driftwood, seashells, and found items, the SS Naviano has a cluttered and cozy atmosphere.

Catchphrase:
"Yoooooo"
"mmm, you look tasty"
"Fish are friends and food"
"Why's it gotta be like that, yo?"

Extra Quirks:
She has a super badass, punk exterior, but has a soft spot for some unexpectedly cute things.
